This edition presents information for New York State fiscal year 2021-2022 (SFY 2021-2022) which began April 1, 2021 and ended March 31, 2022.
During SFY 2021-2022, the tax department collected $118.5 billion from state-imposed taxes and fees as follows:
- personal income tax—$70.7 billion
- state sales tax plus excise and user taxes—$18.6 billion
- business taxes—$26 billion
- property transfer taxes—$3 billion
- other taxes and fees—$0.2 billion
