Will I be eligible for Free File?

If your income was $66,000 or less in 2017—yes! You don't need to wait until mid-January to get started; review the IRS guide How to get started and gather the documents and information you'll need to prepare your return.

If you earned more than $66,000 in 2017, see Other e-file options to learn about your electronic filing options.
