Reminder: IVP deadlines approaching
Beware the Ides of March and be aware of the upcoming deadlines if your tentative roll date is May 1 and school tax bills in your jurisdiction are issued around September 1:
- Wednesday, March 11 - if you are transmitting the data to us for data entry. (See How to transmit IVP forms to the Tax Department.)
- Monday, March 16 – If you are entering the IVP data directly into the IVP Tool.
Review your 2020 preliminary taxable state land lists
Preliminary lists of 2020 taxable state land are now available in the Online Assessment Community for affected municipalities.
By April 10, please review all posted documents and follow the instructions to complete the lists. For more information about the preliminary lists, select the Help button on any screen in the application.
If you have questions after reviewing the instructions and your list, email ORPTS.StateLandUnit@tax.ny.gov.
Railroad Ceilings
This week, we’ll mail tentative railroad ceilings to impacted towns and cities. The hearing will be held on April 21.
County Directors: the BAR Training list is online
To assist Board of Assessment Review (BAR) members who are unable to attend the training in your county, the BAR Training Schedule is available from Board of Assessment Review Training. If you have not provided your training date to us, or if you have changes to your date, email colleen.sheehan@tax.ny.gov.
