Last week, we published a new Agricultural assessment questions and answers webpage with general information regarding eligibility and other aspects of the Agricultural Assessment Program. The answers reflect the Tax Department’s non-binding interpretation of the law.

County Directors: New tax map maintenance certification form now available
Form RP-503, Tax Map Maintenance Certification, is now available. Complete this form annually following the filing of the final assessment roll. Please email completed forms to: ORPTS.TaxMapCert@tax.ny.gov
Reminder letters for Enhanced STAR exemptions hitting mailboxes this week
In November, we mailed income worksheets to seniors from whom we need additional income information to determine Enhanced STAR eligibility.
This week, we’re mailing reminder letters to the seniors who did not respond to our initial mailing.
For the text of the cover letter that accompanies the income worksheets, see our webpage for Forms RP-5311-OWS and RWS. Note: On that webpage, select either of these links to see a sample of the initial cover letter or the reminder letter:
If you're an assessor who is contacted by a senior about the income worksheet or the letter, you are authorized by law to help them complete the worksheet. We encourage you to use the online worksheet by following the instructions on the homeowner’s letter.
